The Villaggio della Birra would not be the same without the voice, irony, passion, and palate of Kuaska.

This year as well, the Maestro will lead three unmissable events: not just simple tastings, but small journeys through brewing geographies, tasty anecdotes, and great beers.

Three Workshops. Three ways to discover the craft world. Reservations at this link https://tinyurl.com/549umkcc

"Every year Gianni Tacchini offers always different and attractive workshops, but this year he has outdone himself! All the more reason for me to give my very best! Be aware that they must necessarily have limited spots, ok? The Villaggio della Birra!."

Let's start presenting the Workshops with Kuaska during the nineteenth edition of the Villaggio della Birra, scheduled from September 5th to 7th at the Parco dell’Acqua in Rapolano Terme (SI).

Craft between local identity and independent spirit
A workshop that explores how craft breweries manage to express their homeland and their worldview, balancing respect for tradition with a desire for innovation.
It is the story of independence, consistency, and territorial pride that is reflected in every sip.

Featured breweries:

  • Triple fff Brewery (UK) – Real ale with a rock soul: tradition and rebellion in pints worthy of applause.

  • Birrificio Altotevere (Umbria, Italy) – Balance between technical elegance and local soul.

  • Calibro22 Taproom (Tuscany, Italy) – A young Tuscan reality that combines research, personality, and territoriality.

  • Birrificio Abruzzese (Abruzzo, Italy) – Strong territorial identity, agricultural profile, and solid roots.

  • Birra del Carrobiolo (Lombardy, Italy) – Monastic, urban, iconic: a bridge between brewing spirituality and contemporaneity.

  • De Dolle Brouwers (Belgium) – Anarchists and visionaries: one of the most personal and legendary voices in the European brewing scene.

  • Brasserie Minne (Belgium) – Nature, terroir, and a fairytale imagination: a beer that tells the story of the Ardennes with style and character.

Lab 2 – New Hop Routes
IPA and beyond, between schools and revolutions
With Kuaska at Villaggio della Birra 2025

Hops take center stage, but every brewery tells its story in its own way.
Some use it to create tropical explosions, others prefer a bold and clean bitterness. Some interpret it with elegance and restraint, while others push for intense, fruity aromas.

In this workshop, we’ll take a journey through different styles, techniques, and approaches: from American creativity to Belgian tradition, from Nordic cleanliness to youthful Italian energy.
A way to understand how much a beer can change when the way hops are used changes.

The stars of this workshop:

  • Stigbergets Bryggeri (Sweden) – Intense aromas and Nordic character: when hops meet Scandinavian creativity.
  • Alefarm Brewing (Denmark) – Cleanliness and freshness, with a modern and bright style.
  • Messorem Bracitorium (Canada) – Juiciness, tropical fruit, and uncompromising hops.
  • Mikerphone Brewing (USA) – From Illinois, pure creativity: intense aromas and surprising aromatic play.
  • Birrificio Rurale (Lombardy, Italy) – Aromatic, crisp, and recognizable: the Italian hop pioneers.
  • Brouwerij De Ranke (Belgium) – Honest and direct bitterness: the Belgian school of hops.
  • Kashmir (Molise, Italy) – Young Molisan energy: clear ideas and a strong desire to experiment.

To tell the story and guide the tasting, as always, Kuaska, with his unmistakable voice full of stories, passion, and plenty of beer to taste together.

Sunday, September 7, 2:30 PM

Lab 3. Brewing with Style – Originality, Identity, and Fermentations
With Kuaska at Villaggio della Birra 2025.
Six breweries that have chosen not to follow beaten paths.
Some reinterpret Belgian styles with elegance, some work with mixed fermentations, some seek the balance between drinkability and character.
A workshop for those who love personality, even extreme, in the glass.

The protagonists:

  • De Dochter van de Korenaar (Belgium) Belgian strength and refinement, always outside the box.
  • Pellicle Vergistingen (Belgium) Young and experimental, between spontaneous fermentations and local fruit.
  • Wide Street Brewing (Ireland) Funky, sour, lively: the rural side of experimentation.
  • Birrificio Mc77 (Italy) Marche creativity, technical heart and free mind.
  • SchigiBier (Italy) Technique, vision, and continuous research: Schigi's touch is always recognizable.
  • Birrificio La Diana (Italy) Living fermentations and Sienese territory: elegance and identity in every glass.
